In the gospel of John, Jesus says, I am the way, the truth, and the life. Furthermore, John writes in one of his letters, that God is love. Considering the totality of the Christian message, it is clear that the "way" Jesus speaks of is the way of love. So I simplify for my song and explain to him that God is Truth, Love, and Life. My intention is to teach him to draw close in his becoming and developing to what is truthful, what is loving, and what is full of life.
"For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known." 1 Corinthians 13:12 Our images of reality in life are very misty. They are filled with our own water, our own projections, our own desires, and even our own divine creativity. But how do we bring our misty eyed perceptions of reality into harmony with God and others? My 4 year old son and I explore this and build a worldview and epistemology.

What is Mystography?
"For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then we will see face to face. Now I know only in part; then I will know fully, even as I have been fully known." 1 Corinthians 13:12 Our images of reality in life are very misty. They are filled with our own water, our own projections, our own desires, and even our own divine creativity. But how do we bring our misty eyed perceptions of reality into harmony with God and others? My 4 year old son and I explore this and build a worldview and epistemology together in a video series I will publish here.
My son Forrest Benjamin is a wonderful storyteller, but too often his stories can be hostile lies about others. It is time to teach him ethics. It is time to help him find a harmony with truth, love, and life. I've dedicated this blog http://mystography.blogspot.com/ to Forrest as a space where he and I will document his journey towards right relating: right relating towards God, right relating towards our ever evolving understanding of reality, and right relating towards others.
We begin with an exploration of who God is and build off of that. In the gospel of John, Jesus says, I am the way, the truth, and the life. Furthermore, John writes in one of his letters that God is love. Considering the totality of the Christian message, it is clear that the "way" Jesus speaks of is the way of love. So I simplify for my son and explain to him that God is Truth, Love, and Life. My intention is to teach him to draw close in his becoming and developing self to what is truthful, what is loving, and what is full of life.
This is his journey as a mystographer.
